What to do when there are no EUCAST breakpoints?

One of the most frequently asked questions to EUCAST is "What do I do when new identification techniques suggests species for which EUCAST has not determined breakpoints?" It is obvious to all that it will not be possible to determine well validated species specific breakpoints for all species. Some time ago EUCAST addressed this issue in a guidance document (published together with other guidance documents) but still this is an often asked question. So with this, we draw your attention to the EUCAST guidance.
