EUCAST Subcommittee on the detection of resistance mechanisms
EUCAST recently decided to form a new subcommittee - on the detection of resistance mechanisms of clinical and/or epidemiological importance.Christian Giske will lead the new subcommittee whichplans to produce a first report late 2012. The subcommittee consists of experts in several fields of antimicrobial resistance and ties together EARS-NET (ECDC) advisory board and the EARS-NET Manual with EUCAST breakpoints, methodology and expert rules.
